The DC curriculum is designed for students with a desire to pursue a career in the Digital/Visual/Graphic Communications field. The course focuses on the knowledge and application of design skills through the study of graphic design, page layout, graphic design applications, digital composition, digital portfolios, web publishing, and other areas of digital communication as they relate to individual interests. The course will also emphasize the use of technological tools in gathering and presenting information and ideas. Students will have a variety of opportunities to participate in community service, shadowing experiences, and internships. Students enrolling in the Digital Arts major at Horry-Georgetown Technical College have the opportunity to earn 9 credit hours through DC at AAST.
